The logo of Ginza, now known as the Japanese department store, symbolizes elegance and is named after the various high-end luxury goods sold.

WAKO was not a department store at first. It can be traced back to the Hattori Watch Shop (Seiko) established in 1881.
In 1932, the head office of "Seiko", a well-known watch brand today, was established. Later, the Seiko sales department became independent and gradually evolved into today's Wako Department Store.
